Dr. Robert Thousand is a highly skilled and experienced endodontist who has been serving the St. Augustine, Florida community since 1999. He began his dental career at Creighton University Dental School in Omaha, Nebraska, where he excelled academically, receiving prestigious awards in endodontics and recognition for achieving some of the highest national board scores in operative dentistry.
After earning his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS), Dr. Thousand pursued specialized training in endodontics, completing a two-year residency at the University of Southern California. During his residency, he developed expertise in root canals and endodontic surgery, laying the foundation for his current practice.
Dr. Thousand is dedicated to providing the most advanced care in his field, with a focus on endodontic root canal therapy and surgery. He is particularly skilled in bone regeneration techniques and uses cutting-edge technology, such as the GentleWave procedure and PRF regenerative therapies, to treat large endodontic infections. His commitment to staying at the forefront of endodontic innovations ensures that his patients receive the highest level of care.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Thousand is an active member of the American Association of Endodontists and the Florida Association of Endodontists. He also served as the past president of the St. Augustine Dental Society, reflecting his dedication to the local dental community.
